Royal Trek |
|
The route has been named as the “Royal Trek” because the prince Charles of Britain trekked on this route in 1981. It is one of the major trekking routes in Nepal.This famous treks starts outskirt town of Pokhara known as Bijayapur. One gets a rewarding experience of trekking combined with interaction with local people & their culture and lifestyle. Another good reason for this trek’s popularity is that it’s an easy hiking trip which can be done by children or with family. Moreover, the trek is also less crowdy compared to other destinations in high season. The superb views of cultivated fields give you the unforgettable experience.
This “royal” trek takes you to the beautiful Gurung Village with fabulous views of Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and Langtang Himalayas. In addition, you’ll be amazed to pass through lush tropical forests nearby the Alpine Himalayas. You will encounter beautiful villages of various ethnic groups like Brahmins, Chetris, Gurungs, Magars during the trek. Many find this trek to be an easy experience of the Himalayan scenery & human adaptation at high places. |

Day 01: Kathmandu to Pokhara (6 hours drive or 30 minutes flight a your wish)
Day 02: Bijayapur to Kalikastan (1370m)
Day 03: Kalikastan to Shaklung (1730m)
Day 04: Shaklung to Chisopani
Day 05: Chisopani to Begnas Bazaar (610m) to Pokhara (820m)
Day 06: Sightseeing in Pokhara
Day 07: Drive back to Kathmandu |
